Thanks for the quick response! I haven't checked the timing belt yet, that's a good shout. I haven't noticed any engine knocking, but I'll listen more closely. What was the final diagnosis with your Saab?

Well, after tearing my hair out, a mechanic finally figured out the timing belt issue. It caused a consequential error, making it seem like something else was wrong. Honestly, with the cylinder pressure thing, I'd take it to a decent workshop. They'll be able to check the timing properly. Saved me a ton of headaches!

Thanks for the advice! I took your advice and brought it to the workshop. Turns out the cylinder pressure fluctuation was a consequential error due to another issue - which they fixed under warranty. Final repair cost 0€. Cheers!

Hey! That sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my old Saab 9-3. Same symptoms, check engine light and everything. Have you checked the timing belt? In my case, it jumped a tooth and messed everything up. Could also be related to the camshaft position. Any weird engine knocking?
