C6 Throttle Valve Issue

Hi, I have a 2008 Citroen C6 with a gasoline engine. Recently I've noticed higher fuel consumption, and the car starts poorly. I scanned it, and it points to a defective throttle valve. Has anyone experienced this before? I'm suspecting it might be the accelerator pedal module.

Throttle valve issues on the C6 can be tricky. Have you checked the air intake for any obstructions? A dirty air filter or buildup around the throttle body itself could contribute to these symptoms.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check the air intake. If that's clear, could the accelerator pedal module really be the cause? I'm just trying to narrow it down before throwing parts at it.

A faulty accelerator pedal module can indeed cause those symptoms, influencing the control valve. If cleaning the air intake doesn't resolve the issue, it's best to have a workshop diagnose it to confirm before replacing parts. A diagnostic test will reveal the error code of the throttle valve.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to a shop, and you were right, it was the accelerator pedal module. Replaced it and the error code disappeared. Cost me 205€. Runs like a charm now!
