C6 weak heating error code

Hey, I have a problem with my 2010 Citroen C6 diesel. The heating isn't working well, the output is too low and I have an error code stored. Could it be the water valve, and could a defective cable or plug connection cause this?

Summary of the thread

The 2010 Citroen C6 diesel experienced weak heating with an error code. The issue was suspected to be related to the water valve, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. After checking the coolant level and ensuring no leaks or engine overheating, the water valve was identified as the problem. Replacing the water valve resolved the heating issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Oh, that sucks! I had similar heating issues with my C6. Was the coolant level okay? Did you check for any coolant leak? It could also be an automotive valve issue... Is the engine overheating at all?

Coolant level is fine, and I don't see any visible leaks. Engine temp seems normal too. You really think a car valve issue can cause weak heating?

Yeah, definitely. The error code and the low heat point to it. In my case, it was the water valve. I tried to find the problem but without success. I recommend getting it checked at a workshop. I paid 95€ for it.

Thanks for the tip! I'll get the water valve checked out. Turns out that was exactly the problem. Replaced it for 95€, now the heating is working perfectly.
