C70 Cylinder Pressure Fluctuation

I'm having an issue with my 2009 Volvo C70, diesel engine. It currently has 23798 km on the clock. I've observed a fluctuation in cylinder pressure, with higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, and the check engine light intermittently activating. Preliminary diagnostics suggest this is a consequential error from another, as-yet-undetected, fault. Any insights into potential causes, considering components like the crankshaft, head gasket, spark plugs, turbocharger, and piston rings?

I had a similar issue with my C70. Have you checked the piston rings? They're known to cause those symptoms.

Could you elaborate on the specifics of the issue you encountered with your C70, and whether the symptoms align with those I've described?

Yep, those were the exact same symptoms. Loss of power, fuel consumption went up, and the check engine light was on constantly. Best to get it checked by a workshop, they'll diagnose it properly.

Following your advice, I had the vehicle inspected at a certified workshop. It turns out the issue was a faulty sensor, triggering a cascade of error messages related to cylinder pressure. The repair was covered under warranty, resulting in no cost. Thanks for your assistance.
