C70 Diesel Injection Fault

I'm having injection system issues with my 2006 Volvo C70 diesel. At 52915 km, I'm seeing increased fuel consumption, reduced power, stalling at idle, and smoke during acceleration. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had something similar happen with my C70. Fuel consumption went up, and it felt like I was driving with the parking brake on. Check all your connections, like the guy above said. It's often something simple. Is the check engine light on?

The engine check light is on. Could you elaborate on the specific connections you inspected during your troubleshooting? Any particular areas prone to such issues on the C70?

Mine was a loose connection to one of the injectors. A mechanic found it pretty quick. It’s like a loose wire on a lamp – sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Honestly, I’d take it to a workshop; they’ll diagnose it properly.

I followed your advice and took the vehicle to a trusted workshop. The diagnosis confirmed a defective plug connection. The repair cost was 95€.
