C70 Engine Power Loss

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2013 Volvo C70, gasoline engine. I've noticed a serious drop in engine power and the check engine light is on. Could this be the throttle valve? Anyone else experienced a crazy response delay, or felt like their air intake is just gagging for air? I'm getting frustrated!

I had a similar issue with my C70. Reduced engine power and the check engine light – sounds familiar! Does it feel like the car is in limp mode? Have you noticed any changes in your fuel efficiency or air flow? It might be linked to the accelerator pedal module.

Limp mode is exactly what it feels like! Fuel efficiency is down the drain too! Accelerator pedal module, you say? Is that a common issue? How did you figure that out?

Yes, limp mode is the pits, isn't it? Given the symptoms you described, it points toward the accelerator pedal module or possibly some faulty electronics within the throttle system. I'd recommend getting it checked out at a workshop. A defective throttle valve is a possibility.

Thanks! I took your advice and brought it to a shop. Turns out it WAS the throttle valve. Cost me 265€ to get it sorted, but at least it's running smoothly now. Cheers!
