C70 Sunroof Not Initialized Error
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Volvo C70 displayed a 'sunroof not initialized' error, causing the sunblind to get stuck and the convertible top to be inoperable. The issue was suspected to be related to coding problems. A suggested solution was to use a VIDA/DICE system at a workshop to re-initialize the sunroof module. After following this advice, the problem was resolved, and the sunroof and convertible top functioned correctly again.

I attempted a hard reset, but the issue persists. Could you elaborate on the similarities you experienced? I'm concerned about the convertible top being inoperable.

Yeah, the hard reset was a long shot. My symptoms were almost identical: sunblind issues, top refusing to budge. Honestly, I'd bite the bullet and get it hooked up to a VIDA/DICE system at a reputable workshop. They can probably re-initialize the sunroof module for you.

I visited a local workshop with VIDA/DICE. They confirmed the sunroof module needed re-initialization due to the previous coding attempts. 75€ later, and everything is functioning perfectly! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction; your suggestion proved invaluable.

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my C70. The error messages were a nightmare. Did you try a hard reset, disconnecting the battery?
