I had a similar issue with my Volvo C70. Have you checked the spray jets for blockages? Can you hear the washer motor?

Blockages? I haven't checked. You don't think it's the washer motor itself?

It could be the motor. If you can't hear it running, my experience suggests visiting a workshop for a proper diagnosis.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check the motor, but will probably visit the workshop. Topped it off and it was fine, total cost 25€.
