Wiring to the resistor, okay. Where is that usually located? Any tips for finding it?

On my Scenic, it was near the blower motor itself, under the glove box. Check your car's manual or online diagrams. If you aren't comfortable with electrical stuff, I would take it to a workshop.

Thanks. That gives me a starting point. I'll check the wiring first. Otherwise, I'll let the workshop change the blower motor. The repair cost 365€.

Yeah, I had a similar issue with my old Renault Scenic. The cabin fan just quit. Check the wiring to the blower motor resistor. On the Scenic, it was a corroded connector causing the fan to not work on some speeds, then nothing at all. Might be worth a look before replacing the motor.
