C8 Exhaust Leak and NOx Catalyst Issue

The exhaust leak could be affecting the NOx catalyst efficiency, causing incorrect readings and the error code. Check the exhaust manifold and connecting pipes for damage or corrosion.

I glanced at the pipes but not the manifold. Any specific area on these C8s prone to leaks? I'm not experienced with exhaust systems.

Given the age and mileage, corrosion around the joints and flex pipe is plausible. A workshop can pressure test to pinpoint the leak. Driving with a leak can degrade the catalyst.

Shop found a crack in a pipe before the catalytic converter. Welding and sealing cost 265€. Check engine light is gone!
