C8 Overheating Air Flap Issue

Has anyone seen overheating issues on a 2005 Citroen C8 gasoline? Check engine light came on around 99560 km, and diagnostics point to a problem with the active air flaps, maybe the electromechanism.

Hey, I've got a C8 too. Sounds familiar. Was it throwing any fault codes related to the air intake? Could be the grille shutter getting stuck. Did you notice any difference in how the engine warms up?

Yep, overheating was definitely part of it. Honestly, after a bit of poking around, I just took it to a workshop. Turned out to be cheaper than messing with it myself. Maybe you should consider the same.

Thanks for the advice. I took it in, and they confirmed the electromechanism fault. Replacement cost me 590€. Glad to know I wasn't alone.
