C8 Overheating
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Citroen C8 with a gasoline engine is experiencing overheating and slow warming up. The initial suspicion is a faulty thermostat. Another owner suggests checking the coolant level and cooling fan behavior, but the coolant level is fine, and the fan operates normally. The issue is confirmed to be with the thermostat housing assembly, and repairs are underway.

Coolant level is fine, and the fan seems to be behaving normally. By 'map thermostat,' do you mean the thermostat housing assembly?

Yes, the entire thermostat housing assembly. I'd bet money on it. Best get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks. Dropped it at the shop this morning; they confirmed the thermostat issue. Repair will be around 350€. Appreciate the help!

I had similar overheating symptoms on my C8. Sounds like the map thermostat is defective. Have you checked the coolant level? Is the cooling fan running constantly?
