C8 Power Window Failure

Sounds like what happened with my old Saab 9-3 when the battery died. The window regulator went nuts. Did you try the window reset procedure? Hold the switch down a few seconds after it's fully open, then up a few seconds after it's fully closed. Any more details in the error code?

Initialization unsuccessful' is a pain! The reset eventually worked for me after a few tries, but yours sounds worse. After repeated tries and some forum searching, I took the Saab to a shop. They used their diagnostic tool to reset the regulator. A specialized tool might be the only way.

Thanks for the help. Took the C8 to a local shop, and they re-initialized the window regulators with their diagnostic equipment. Cost me 290€.
