Camaro generator issue
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Chevy Camaro is experiencing reduced engine power, a warning light, rough starting, and flickering lights, suggesting a generator issue. The voltage is low when the car is off, but within specifications when running. The serpentine belt appears fine, pointing towards a failing generator as the likely cause. The problem was confirmed by a workshop, and replacing the faulty generator resolved the issue.

Voltage is within spec when the car is running (barely). When the car is off, a bit low. Serpentine belt looks okay. So, what was it in your case, with the Beemer?

Yep, sounds like a generator failure. My BMW had a completely dead generator. Best to get it checked by a workshop. A new generator including installation was a hefty cost, if I remember correctly

You nailed it. Took it to the shop, and the generator was indeed faulty. 960€ later, it's fixed. Thanks for the help!

Sounds familiar! I had similar symptoms with my old BMW 3 series. Did you check the battery voltage? Weak or flickering lights often point to voltage issues. Could also be a bad serpentine belt, is it worn or cracked? A failing generator can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins. Car electronics can be tricky...
