Camaro Intermittent Starting Issue

Having a strange issue with my 2020 Chevrolet Camaro, gasoline engine. 58048 km on the clock. The terminal 30 continuous plus seems to be interrupted. The car starts poorly, almost like the battery is completely drained. I suspect a heavily discharged or defective battery, but it seems strange. Anyone seen anything similar?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Chevrolet Camaro is experiencing intermittent starting issues, suspected to be due to a heavily discharged or defective battery. The problem is identified as an interruption in the terminal 30 continuous plus, leading to poor starting performance. Suggestions include checking for parasitic draws and inspecting the wiring harness for damage or corrosion, particularly around the starter motor and charging system. Ultimately, a faulty connection in the wiring harness was found to be the cause, and repairing it resolved the issue.

I had a similar issue on my Camaro, albeit a slightly older model. Intermittent starting issues can be a real pain. Have you checked for any parasitic draws? Could be something draining the battery when the car is off. Check your wiring harness for any obvious damage or corrosion too, especially around the starter motor and charging system.

Parasitic draws, huh? Good point. I'll check for those. Where exactly should I be looking on the wiring harness? Any specific areas that are notorious for causing these problems on Camaros?

Focus on areas where the harness might rub against the chassis or engine components. Also, inspect any connections near the battery and alternator. If you're not comfortable digging too deep, it might be worth getting it checked out by a qualified mechanic.

Appreciate the advice. Turns out you were spot on about getting it checked. Took it to a workshop, and they found a faulty connection in the wiring harness causing the battery drain. Repair cost me 290€ Thanks again!
