Camry ABS Lateral Acceleration Sensor Issue

Hi, I've got a 2015 Toyota Camry with a gasoline engine, and the ABS light keeps coming on. The ABS system seems to be failing. I scanned it and found an error stored related to the lateral acceleration sensor. Anyone else experienced this?

Hey, that sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my old Audi A4. ABS light, system failure, the whole nine yards. Turned out to be a faulty yaw rate sensor. Is yours throwing any codes related to yaw rate or stability control?

Yaw rate, huh? I'll have to check the code again. Where exactly is that sensor located? And what was the damage to get mine fixed?

On my Audi, it was buried deep in the central console, near the shifter. A pain to get to. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend tackling it yourself unless you're really confident. The diagnostics alone can be tricky. I'd suggest taking it to a trusted workshop to get it checked out properly. They'll be able to pinpoint the exact issue and give you an accurate quote.

Thanks for the heads-up! It was indeed the lateral acceleration sensor and the control unit was also defective, like you said. Cost me around 1000€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the advice!
