Camry engine mount failure

I'm at my wit's end! I have a 2012 Toyota Camry with a gasoline engine, and I'm experiencing some really strange issues. The car has about 140245 km on it. Recently, the engine started idling very unevenly. I scanned it, and an error related to the engine mount was stored. Could a defective cable or plug connection really cause this?

Engine mount issue on a Camry, huh? Is the error consistently reappearing, or was it a one-time thing? Any excessive vibration when you're idling?

Good questions! The error comes back every time I clear it. As for vibrations, yes, quite a bit! Could it really just be a simple connection issue?

If the error code is persistent and you're feeling strong vibrations, the defective engine mount is very likely the culprit. While a connection could be the cause, it's less likely with those symptoms. I'd recommend getting it properly inspected at a workshop.

Thanks for the input! I took it to a workshop, and you were right. It was indeed a failed engine mount! The repair, including parts and labor, came out to 95€. Replacing it fixed the uneven idling and the vibrations. Much appreciated!
