Camry Hybrid Microphone Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid is experiencing a non-functional hands-free microphone, preventing calls, with an error stored in the memory. The issue may be related to a defective infotainment system. Adjustments to volume controls and audio input settings did not resolve the problem. A similar case was resolved by replacing the infotainment unit, suggesting this as a potential solution.

I have adjusted the volume controls and checked the audio input settings, but the problem persists. Could you please provide more details about the issue you experienced with your Camry? Was it also an infotainment system problem?

Yep, sounds like the same pain. Ended up being the infotainment unit itself. Bit the bullet and had the workshop take care of it.

Thank you for confirming. I appreciate the information. It seems I am facing a similar situation, and I will likely need to have the infotainment system assessed and potentially replaced. The eventual repair cost was 815€.

I had something similar with my Camry. Voice recognition was completely shot, and Bluetooth calls were a no-go. Have you tried messing with the volume control or audio input settings?
