Camry Hybrid Parking Heater Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Camry Hybrid's parking heater is not activating, and diagnostics indicate an error. Possible causes include a faulty heater core or temperature sensor. Another suggestion points to issues with the glow plugs or blower motor. The recommended solution is to have a professional mechanic diagnose and potentially replace the faulty glow plug, as this was a similar issue resolved in another case.

Thanks! I haven't checked the glow plugs yet. Are they hard to access, or do I need special tools? Any signs of a bad glow plug I can look for?

Access can be tricky, and you might need specific tools. Honestly, after some research, I took mine to a shop. They diagnosed a bad glow plug pretty fast. Repair was 440€ including parts. I'd recommend that.

Thanks for the advice! I'll schedule an appointment with my mechanic. Sounds like a bad glow plug is the likely cause. Hopefully, the repair cost will be similar. Appreciate it!

I had a similar issue with my Camry Hybrid last winter. Parking heater wouldn't start, and diagnostics showed an error. Did you check the glow plugs? That was my problem. If not the glow plugs, check the blower motor.
