Thanks for the insight! I did scan it, and it's throwing a code related to fuel pressure regulation. Given your experience with the Audi, are you leaning towards a sensor issue rather than the pump itself?

The code certainly points to fuel pressure regulation. While a faulty pump could definitely cause such issues, a malfunctioning sensor can send incorrect data, leading the system to behave as if the pump is failing. Given the symptoms and the code, I would strongly recommend having a professional diagnose the high-pressure pump itself using proper diagnostic tools before throwing parts at it. That being said, if you're already suspecting the pump, it might be worth checking its electrical connector and wiring for any signs of damage or corrosion. However, given the potential for misdiagnosis and further complications, professional evaluation is highly advisable.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to my local mechanic, and after thorough testing, it was indeed the high-pressure fuel pump. The defective fuel volume regulator was the root cause, like I thought. Ended up costing me 1510€ for the repair. Thanks again for your help!

Interesting. I had a similar problem with my 2016 Audi A4. Check engine light, stalling, and power loss. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty fuel pressure sensor, which was triggering the other symptoms. Have you scanned the car for any specific error codes related to the fuel injection system? It could give you a more precise direction.
