Camry Hybrid weak battery flickering lights

Experiencing a weird issue with my 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid (187,770 km). The battery seems weak when starting, especially in the mornings, and the lights are flickering. I suspect it might be the battery sensor. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I've checked the battery voltage and it seems a bit low, but I'm not sure how to properly test the sensor itself. Any advice on battery testing or what to look for?

I had something similar happen with my Camry (don't remember the year). It turned out to be the voltage sensor on the battery. Is your battery health still good?

Interesting! When you say voltage sensor, do you mean the one that reports the battery's state of charge to the car's computer? How did you determine that was the issue? Did you get any specific error codes, or were there other symptoms besides the weak starts and flickering lights?

Yeah, that's the one. I didn't have any specific error codes, but the car was acting weird. I just took it to a workshop and they confirmed it was the sensor. You should do the same.

Thanks so much for the suggestion! Turns out you were spot on. I took it to my local mechanic, and they confirmed it was indeed a bad battery sensor. The repair cost me about 315€, and now the car starts like new, and the lights are solid again! Really appreciate the help!
