Camry Lighting Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Toyota Camry owner reported that the vehicle's lights activate randomly, with diagnostic scans indicating an error in the lighting control module. The issue was suspected to be caused by a defective cable or plug. After consulting a technician, it was determined that the problem was due to a faulty connection in the switch assembly, which required replacement.

It doesn't seem related to bumps. Could you give more detail about the ground wire location? A picture would be great.

If it isn't bumps, that's a different story. My ground wire was near the headlight assembly, but on a Camry it might be somewhere else. Honestly, if it's not obvious, and you're getting codes, I'd get it checked at a shop. Electrical gremlins can be a real pain to trace yourself.

I took it to a technician. The diagnosis was a faulty connection in the switch assembly, needing replacement. The total cost was 95€. Thanks for the help.

Electrical stuff can be tricky. Does it happen mostly when you hit a bump? I had a similar thing on my old Corolla, turned out to be a loose ground wire. Worth checking before you dive too deep.
