Camry Overheating Issue

Hey, I've got a weird one with my 2021 Toyota Camry hybrid. The engine's been overheating, and the check engine light is on. It's got about 96,592 km on it. I'm thinking it might be the radiator fan since I don't hear it kicking on like it used to. Anyone else run into this?

Sounds familiar. I had similar overheating issues with my old 2014 Opel Insignia. Turned out to be a faulty speed sensor. Did you check that already? Is the fan making any unusual noises before it fails?

Speed sensor, huh? I hadn't considered that. No weird fan noises, it just doesn't seem to be running when it should. Where is the speed sensor usually located? Could a defective thermal switch also cause this?

Yeah, the speed sensor was the culprit on my Insignia. Could be the thermal switch too, though. Honestly, with those symptoms, I'd get it checked out by a pro. Could save you a headache trying to diagnose it yourself. Do you suspect the fan blade?

Appreciate the input! Took it to the shop, and you were right – defective speed sensor. New one cost me around 250€. All good now. Thanks!
