Camry power window failure

A reset procedure? I haven't. I didn't even know that was a thing. How exactly would I go about doing that? Is it something I can do myself, or do I need some special tool?

Yeah, some cars are like that. With my Volvo, there was a specific sequence of holding the window switch up and down for a certain amount of time. But honestly, the procedure can vary wildly between manufacturers and even models. Without knowing the exact steps for your Camry, you could make things worse. Given that you've already checked the fuses, and the problem started right after the battery change, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They'll have the diagnostic tools to properly initialize the window regulators and clear any error codes. Might save you a headache in the long run.

Thanks for the advice. I was hoping it would be a simple fix, but it sounds like it's beyond my skill level. I took it to a local mechanic, and they confirmed it was a window regulator initialization issue after the battery replacement. Cost me 290€ to get it sorted, but at least the windows are working again!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar thing happen with my old Volvo V70 after the battery died. The window controls went haywire. It might be a window regulator initialization issue. Some cars need to have the window positions relearned after power loss. Have you tried any kind of reset procedure for the windows?
