Camry rear ventilation flap issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Toyota Camry is experiencing climate control issues, with the A/C barely cooling and an error code related to the rear ventilation flap. The suspected cause is a faulty cable or plug on the flap actuator. A similar issue was resolved by tracing the wiring and checking the flap motor, leading to the discovery of a defective cable.

Yep, ran full system diagnostics. Error points directly to the rear ventilation flap. Can you remember any specific error codes or symptoms that pinpointed the flap actuator?

Can't recall the exact code, but A/C was useless, and the rear vents were dead. I'd get it to the shop. They'll trace the wiring and check the flap motor itself.

Right, will do. Just wanted to sanity-check before I go down that rabbit hole. Thanks for confirming it's likely that. Just got the bill: 95€, cable was defect!

I have a Camry too. Had similar HVAC issues last year. Was that before or after you ran system diagnostics?
