Captiva Diesel Glow Plug Issue

My 2011 Chevrolet Captiva diesel (202325 km) has an issue: the preheating lamp doesn't switch off after starting, and there's an error stored. I suspect a defective glow plug. Anyone else had this?

I had a similar issue with my Captiva. Mine's a bit older, but the symptoms were almost identical. The check engine light would stay on, especially in colder weather. Sounds like it's time to check those glow plugs.

Thanks! Could you tell me what you did to resolve it?

I'm no expert, but with those symptoms, there's not much you can do yourself. I'd take it to a good workshop. In my case, the glow plugs were the problem and needed replacing. Cost me around 440€.

Thanks for the advice. I'll book an appointment with my mechanic to get the glow plugs checked and replaced. I appreciate it!
