Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly are those sensors located? And how would I check them? Is it something I can do myself, or should I just take it to a shop?

Well, on my 308, they were near the wheel hubs, but I'm not sure about the Captur. Honestly, with ABS issues and seeing that warning light, it's probably best to get it checked by a mechanic. It ended up being a defective control unit in my case. Saved myself a headache by just taking it in.

Appreciate the advice! I'll book it in for a diagnostic check. The shop is telling me the control unit is defective, just like you said. Repair is gonna set me back around 1000€, but at least it will be fixed.

Sounds familiar! I had something like that happen with my old Peugeot 308. ABS and traction control going haywire. Check your wheel speed sensors, especially the input from the transmission. Could be a faulty sensor messing with the control unit.
