Captur Air Con Failure

My 2016 Renault Captur diesel's air con has completely died at 208k km. Error memory has a fault stored, it doesn't even try to switch on, and there's a warning light. Fuses are ok and refrigerant levels seem fine. Could this be a faulty air conditioning control unit?

Sounds familiar. I had similar air con issues with my Captur. Is the compressor kicking in at all?

No, the compressor isn't kicking in. I suspect it might be the control unit not telling it to start. Did you have the same thing? Any idea what the eventual repair cost was?

Yep, same symptoms. Turned out to be a faulty control unit. Get it checked out at a decent workshop. Mine was a pain, cost a fair bit to sort.

Thanks for the advice! I'll get it booked in. I was quoted around 980€ for the repair, so sounds about right, unfortunately.
