Captur air suspension failure
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Renault Captur diesel is experiencing air suspension failure, causing the car to lean and display error messages, with headlights pointing too low. The issue may be linked to a defective cable or plug, as indicated by the error memory. A similar case suggested checking the compressor, but the problem was resolved by fixing a defective cable at a workshop, avoiding the need for a new compressor.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't specifically checked the compressor for noises, no. Where is the compressor located, and is there a way to test it before I assume it's completely dead?

On mine, the compressor was near the rear axle. Honestly, I didn't bother testing it myself. Given the symptoms and the error code you mentioned, plus my own experience, I just took it to a workshop. Saved me a lot of hassle. Could be worth a shot.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop, and you were right – it was a defective cable, which they fixed. Cost me 95€, which is a lot better than a new compressor! Thanks again!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Captur. Same symptoms – leaning, error messages, the whole shebang. Did you check the compressor itself? Mine turned out to be the culprit. Have you noticed any unusual noises coming from that area before this started happening?
