Captur Audio System Dead
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Renault Captur diesel's audio system is completely non-functional, with no sound output. The issue might be due to a defective display, as suggested by another Captur owner who experienced a similar problem. Checking the wiring harness behind the head unit is recommended as a basic troubleshooting step, but if the wiring is intact, the display may need replacement.

Cheers! Wiring harness... hmm. Was yours completely dead too, or did it give you static or cut out intermittently? Any other hints where to look?

Mine was completely dead, no sound at all. After checking the wiring, which seemed fine, the workshop suspected the display was defective. Long story short, that was the culprit. Does it sound like the same?

Right, thanks! Display defective... that’s what I feared. Garage quoted 725€ for the repair. Annoying, but at least I know what's wrong. Thanks for confirming!

Sounds familiar. I have a Captur as well, and I had similar issues. Have you checked the wiring harness behind the head unit? I know that sounds basic, but sometimes it's the simple things...
