Captur door lock problem
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Renault Captur owner is facing a problem with the central locking system due to a suspected faulty door contact signal. The issue might be caused by a defective cable or plug connection, particularly in the wiring harness where it passes from the car body into the door. A suggestion to check the wiring harness for frayed wires or loose connections was made, and the problem was resolved by fixing a faulty connector in the door.

Thanks, that's helpful. Where exactly is the door wiring harness located? I want to check it before taking it to a shop. And you are talking about the driver door specifically?

Yes, I'm referring to the driver's door. The harness is typically located behind the door panel, where the wires feed into the door latch mechanism. Given the complexity and potential for further damage, proceeding to a workshop might be a prudent decision at this juncture.

Thanks for the advice! It was indeed a faulty connector in the door. I managed to get it fixed for 95€.

Interesting. I had a similar problem on my Captur! The automatic locks went haywire. Did you check the wiring harness where it passes from the car body into the door? That's a common spot for wires to fray or connections to loosen, especially with the door constantly opening and closing. Also, have you tried manually locking each door to see if that works?
