Deposits? I haven't checked that specifically. I'm always using 95 octane, as recommended. How did you resolve your issue? Did you try any engine tuning or check the knock sensor?

The deposits were the culprit for me. I didn't mess with any tuning or the knock sensor. I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it pretty quickly. I think they used some kind of cleaning treatment, but I'm not 100% sure. Worth getting it checked out professionally.

Thanks for the info. I'll book it in with a local garage and mention the deposits. You were spot on. The workshop confirmed it was deposits in the combustion chamber, causing the knocking. They cleaned it out, and it's running smoothly again. Cost me 425€ appreciate the help!

I had similar issues with my Captur. Reduced power, jerking, and even some smoke. Have you checked for deposits in the combustion chamber? Sounds like engine knock. What fuel are you using?
