Captur Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Renault Captur with a diesel engine experienced stalling at idle and a check engine light, suspected to be due to a fuel tank ventilation system leak. The issue was potentially linked to a defective activated charcoal filter. After consulting with another owner who had a similar problem, it was confirmed that the charcoal filter was indeed the cause. Replacing the filter resolved the stalling issue.

Air flow seems normal. Where exactly was the issue in your case? Was it definitely related to the fuel tank ventilation?

Yeah, fuel tank related. Honestly, I couldn't pinpoint it myself. Took it to a workshop, they confirmed it was the charcoal filter. Best to get it checked properly.

Thanks for the info. Took it in, and you were right – charcoal filter was the culprit. Cost 275€ to repair. Runs perfectly now.

I had something similar with my Captur. Stalling, engine light... Sounded like a purge valve or maybe a pressure sensor problem to me. Did you check air flow? Could be a system failure.
