Captur Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor Issue

I've got a 2022 Renault Captur hybrid with a weird issue. It's done 136778 km. A warning light popped up and there's smoke when I accelerate. Could it be the exhaust back pressure sensor?

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen in my Captur. Is the car down on power? It felt like mine was trying to run with the brakes on, like a marathon runner with a pebble in his shoe!

Yeah, it feels sluggish, like it's being held back. You mentioned a similar issue - what was the fix for yours?

Okay, the sluggishness confirms it. I'd bet money on the exhaust back pressure sensor. Mine was faulty, causing all sorts of emission control headaches. It's a pain, and you need diagnostics to be sure. Best to get it checked by a workshop; they will know exactly what to do.

Thanks! I took it to a local shop, and you were spot on. It was the exhaust back pressure sensor. Cost me 245€ to replace, but it's running like a dream now. Appreciate the help!
