Yeah, exactly that. Sluggish is a good word for it. Did you also have an error code stored? Was it definitely the exhaust flaps?

Yep, error code city! Turned out to be the exhaust valves. I wouldn't mess with it too much yourself. I ended up taking mine to a workshop.

Cheers for the insight. I'll get it booked in. It's probably better to get it sorted by a professional. Seems the flaps are defective, estimated repair cost 190€.

I had a similar issue with my Captur, though not the hybrid version. Louder exhaust and a general feeling of sluggish engine performance? Could be exhaust blockage messing with backpressure.
