Hey, I've got a 2022 Renault Captur hybrid with about 142000 km on the clock. Recently, it's developed a weird issue. Sometimes, it won't start, and the check engine light pops up. Also, the gearbox feels like it's slipping or shifting roughly. I scanned it, and it's throwing an error related to the automatic transmission parking position. Anyone experienced anything similar?

Hello, I had similar symptoms with my Captur. In my case, the error was also stored in the error memory, the car did not start sometimes and the gearbox shifted uncleanly. Have you checked the park brake or the shift lock? It might be a faulty control unit, I have read about that online.

Well, in my experience the error happened more and more often. It started with an intermittent problem. So in the beginning it was only occasionally, then more frequently. The symptoms were as you described. If the error code points to a defective control unit, I would suggest that you visit a workshop. My experience is that this requires special tools and deeper expertise. They will check the transmission and the gear shifter. The repair will cost you around 1000€, but in my opinion that is the only proper way to handle that issue.
