Captur Hybrid starting issue

I'm having trouble with my 2021 Renault Captur Hybrid. It's got about 160000 km on the clock, and recently it's been having trouble starting. Sometimes it just refuses to crank, other times it starts and then shuts off a few seconds later. And occasionally, it runs really rough for a bit before stalling. I checked the fuses near the battery, but they all seem fine. Any ideas what could be causing this starting issue? I'm not very good with car repairs, so simple explanations are welcome!

I had something similar happen with my Captur. Not sure about the Hybrid part since mine's a regular petrol engine. Engine wouldn't start sometimes. Did you check the ignition coil? Is it the original ignition switch or have you replaced it?

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the ignition coil located? I'm not sure if it's been replaced before, I bought the car used a couple of years ago. And how would I check if it's faulty? Also, is there a specific fuse for the ignition switch that I might have missed?

On mine, the ignition coil was easily accessible under the bonnet. But with the hybrid engine, it might be different. I'm not sure about your model fuse box. It's probably best to get a professional to check it out. Could be a faulty ignition switch, but it's hard to say without proper diagnostics.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I took it to the shop, and after having a look they traced the issue back to a defective fuse related to the starting system. Replacing it sorted it and cost me 52€. I really appreciate you pointing me in the right direction!
