Captur hybrid wastegate issue

Experiencing issues with my 2020 Renault Captur Hybrid: check engine light, reduced power, poor response, stalling, high fuel consumption, whistling and hissing sounds upon acceleration at 154846 km. Suspect wastegate valve. Any advice?

Hey, I had something similar with my Captur. Does it feel like the car is struggling to accelerate, especially uphill? I also noticed a slight drop in MPG before the check engine light even came on. Have you checked the throttle body? That could be a place to start. Boost control issues can be tricky.

Thank you for your response. Yes, uphill acceleration is noticeably weaker. Regarding the throttle body, is there a specific test or inspection procedure you would recommend?

Honestly, I'm not that technical. My issue also presented with similar symptoms. I ended up taking it to a workshop because I suspected it was the wastegate. And it was. They sorted it pretty quickly. If you are having similar symptoms, I would suggest the same.

Understood. Thank you for sharing your experience. I took it to my local mechanic, and the diagnosis pointed to a faulty wastegate valve. Repair cost is estimated at 860€. Appreciate the insight.
