Cheers for the reply. Yeah, I've noticed it's worse at lower speeds, especially when parking. At higher speeds, it's still there, but not as noticeable. Did your Volvo do the same, and did you ever figure out what was causing all that commotion?

Affirmative, the behavior of your Renault Captur mirrors that of my Volvo V60; the symptoms were indeed more pronounced at lower velocities. Based on the information you've given on the error log, it strongly indicates a potential defect within the cable or plug connection of the component. Considering the complexities involved, I would recommend consulting with a qualified automotive technician for a comprehensive inspection and subsequent resolution.

Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience! Turns out you were spot on – it was a dodgy connection. Workshop sorted it for 95€. Appreciate the help!

Greetings. I am sorry to read about the difficulties you are experiencing with your Renault Captur's power steering system. I encountered a somewhat analogous predicament with my 2016 Volvo V60. The symptoms you have described, namely the vibrating steering wheel and the increased effort required for steering, bear a striking resemblance to the issues I faced. Allow me to inquire: have you observed any fluctuations in the severity of these symptoms under varying driving conditions, such as at different speeds or during specific maneuvers?
