Captur uneven running and jerking
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Renault Captur with a gasoline engine is experiencing uneven running and jerking during acceleration, accompanied by a check engine light and an error code. The issue could be due to a leak in the exhaust system, as well as potential problems with the timing belt, ignition coils, spark plugs, fuel pump, or oxygen sensor. After taking the vehicle to a workshop, it was confirmed that the problem was indeed a leak in the exhaust system, which was subsequently repaired.

Thanks! I'm trying to narrow it down before taking it to a workshop. Did you experience similar symptoms and find a specific problem with one of those components?

Yes, I had almost the same symptoms. In my case, I couldn't pinpoint the exact leak myself, and I wasn't equipped to deal with all the diagnostic options. I'd strongly advise you to take your Captur to a workshop and have them diagnose the problem properly.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were right – it was a leak in the exhaust system. They charged me 265€ to fix it. I'm glad that the problem has been resolved!

I have a Captur too. Uneven running and jerking could point to a few things. Have you checked the timing belt, ignition coils, spark plugs, or the fuel pump? An oxygen sensor issue could also cause those symptoms.
