Captur wiper failure

Good point about the switch, hadn't thought of testing it directly. No, I don't have a multimeter at hand at the moment. As for the error code, unfortunately, it's pretty vague - something along the lines of "wiper circuit malfunction", doesn't pinpoint the exact location. Do you think it's more likely to be the switch than a wiring harness issue further down the line?

A vague code plus dead wipers leans towards the switch to me, but without proper testing, it's just a guess. You could keep poking around, but honestly, at this point, taking it to a workshop with proper diagnostic tools might save you time and frustration. At least they can pinpoint the fault. Shouldn't cost the earth, I mean, 95€ should cover it.

You were spot on! Took it to a shop, and the wiper switch was indeed the culprit, or at least the connecting wiring. They charged me 95€, so everything went fine. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Hmm, wipers completely dead and an error code? That's more than just a fuse, then. You say you checked the motor and column, but did you actually test the wiper switch itself? Got a multimeter? Could be a faulty switch not sending the signal. Or, is the error code specific? Does it give any hints beyond "cable or plug"? That's pretty generic.
