Yeah, that's a pretty good description! Rough, like hitting a wall... exactly! Undervoltage, huh? I hadn't thought of that. How did you figure that out? And what did you do to fix it?

I had the same symptoms, and eventually the mechanic told me it was undervoltage messing with the transmission control unit. It's like the computer brain controlling the shifting was getting scrambled signals. I'd recommend getting it checked out at a workshop. It cost me around 240€ to get sorted, but it fixed the problem completely.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I really appreciate it. I'll get the battery and alternator checked ASAP, and if that doesn't solve it, I'll take it to a workshop and mention the undervoltage issue. Hopefully, it's a simple fix. Turns out it was the undervoltage after all! New battery and all is well.

Sounds familiar. I had similar transmission problems with my Caravan. Is the shifting rough, like hitting a wall between gears? Does it feel like you're driving through mud sometimes? It might be undervoltage in the vehicle. Have you checked the battery and alternator?
