Caravan Stalling at Idle
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Nissan Caravan is experiencing stalling at idle, a check engine light, and reduced engine power. The initial suspicion is a faulty fuel volume regulator. Another individual suggests checking the high pressure pump, as similar symptoms were resolved by replacing it. Upon professional diagnosis, the high pressure pump was confirmed as the issue, which also affected the fuel volume regulator, leading to successful repairs.

Thanks for the tip! How did you confirm it was the high pressure pump? I'm not really sure how to diagnose that myself.

I didn't confirm it myself. The symptoms pointed towards fuel starvation. Best thing to do is get it to a workshop with the right diagnostic equipment. If the high pressure pump is faulty, it could be the cause for your defective fuel volume regulator too.

You were right! Took it to a shop, and they confirmed it was a defective high pressure pump. Apparently, that messed up the fuel volume regulator. Repair cost me about 1510€, but at least it's fixed. Thanks for the help!

I had similar symptoms in my Caravan. Rough idling, poor fuel economy... seemed like the fuel injection wasn't working right. Did you check the high pressure pump? That was the cause in my case.
