Caravan Sun Blind Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Nissan Caravan has a sun blind issue where it is stuck and won't retract or extend, with a generic error code indicating a malfunction. The problem is suspected to be a faulty motor, as voltage checks at the motor connector appear normal. The suggested solution is to take the vehicle to a workshop for diagnosis and repair, as similar cases have been resolved by replacing the motor.

Thanks. Voltage at the connector seems okay. The error code is generic, just says there's a malfunction in the sun blind system. Was your error code vague too?

Yes, my error code was equally unhelpful. Since you've checked the voltage and the error code isn't specific, it probably is the motor. I took mine to a workshop for diagnosis and repair.

Okay, thanks for confirming. I'll probably take it to a workshop too. They quoted me about 330€ for the repair, which seems fair for labor and parts.

I had a similar sun blind problem in my Caravan. Sounds identical. Did you check the voltage at the motor connector? Does the error code give any specifics?
