Cavalier oil pressure warning light

Hi, I have a 2020 Chevrolet Cavalier with a gasoline engine. Recently, a warning light appeared on the speedometer, and the oil pressure warning lamp lit up. I checked the oil level, and it seemed okay, but the oil color was darker than usual. Could it be related to the type of oil I'm using or maybe an oil additive issue?

13,000 km is quite a bit over the usual interval, especially with city driving. Short trips don't allow the engine to fully warm up, which means more contaminants can build up in the oil. While oil brand does matter to some extent, exceeding the maintenance interval is likely the primary cause here. Engine oil sludge is no joke. I’d get it checked by a workshop ASAP to be sure.

They performed an oil change, replaced the oil filter, and everything seems fine now. The repair cost me 165€. I'll definitely keep a closer eye on the oil change schedule from now on.
