Cavalier rough idle and hesitation

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier with a gasoline engine. It's got about 130449 km on it. Lately, the engine's been running really rough, and it sometimes stalls when I'm idling. The check engine light also came on. Plus, it feels like the car is jerking a bit when I accelerate. Any ideas?

Turned out to be a defective ignition coil and maybe a loose cable connection. I would take it to a workshop.

Thanks! I took it to a workshop, and you were right, it was the ignition coil. The cable was indeed a bit loose, too. 95€ later, and it's running smoothly again. Appreciate the help!
