Cavalier weak heat water valve issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Chevy Cavalier is experiencing weak heating, with an error code indicating a water valve issue. The problem may be due to a bad connection, possibly a corroded or loose wire. Checking and adjusting the wiring and plugs near the water valve, located by the firewall, is suggested. Ultimately, a professional diagnosis confirmed a faulty connection, which was repaired at a cost.

Thanks! No overheating issues thankfully, just the awful heat. Where exactly is that water valve located? I've been poking around but not sure I'm looking at the right part. Any tips for getting to it?

Okay, no overheating is good. The water valve should be near the firewall, close to where the heater hoses go into the cabin. It's usually a pain to get to. Honestly, if you're not 100% confident, you might be better off taking it to a shop. I ended up doing that and it was diagnosed quickly. Good luck!

Appreciate the advice! I went to a shop and they confirmed it was a faulty connection. Repair cost me 95€.

Dude, I had almost the EXACT same problem with my Cavalier! The heating was pathetic, and yeah, error code city. Check the wiring and plugs going to that valve. Seriously, wiggle them around and see if anything changes. Could be a corroded or loose connection messing things up. Is the engine overheating at all?
