Ccrosser AC and Temperature Sensor Issues

I'm having a weird issue with my 2012 Citroen Ccrosser, gasoline engine. The car has about 103946 km on it. I keep getting errors that point to a defective heat exchanger temperature sensor. The error is stored, shows on the speedometer, and the AC won't turn on. Could a bad sensor cause all this, or is the gauge itself bad? I'm worried about the cooling system.

Hey! I had something similar happen in my Ccrosser. Drove me nuts! Same symptoms – the AC wouldn't kick on, and the dash lit up with warnings. Did you check the air conditioning control unit? That was my problem. It seems like that unit can throw all sorts of weird errors when it goes bad. Has the sensor calibration been checked?

Thanks! Even if the error message says it's the temperature sensor, could the AC control unit still be the problem? Can you give me more details?

Yup, that's exactly what happened to me! The error pointed to the sensor, but the actual problem was the AC control unit messing with the sensor readings. My mechanic explained that these systems are interconnected, and a faulty control unit can send incorrect signals, making it seem like the sensor is bad. Honestly, I'd recommend getting it checked by a workshop. They'll be able to diagnose it properly before you start replacing parts.

Thanks for the advice! I'll talk to a technician and have them check the AC control unit. I appreciate the help!
