Ccrosser AC failure
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Citroen Ccrosser experienced a complete AC failure, with the system not cooling or switching on, and a warning light appearing on the speedometer. The initial suspicion was a faulty refrigerant compressor, but there was also concern about the AC control unit. After a workshop diagnosis, it was confirmed that the AC compressor had failed, likely due to a defective control unit. The issue was resolved by replacing the compressor and repairing the control unit.

I haven't checked the error code myself, a friend with some diagnostic tools read it for me. He mentioned something about the AC control unit being the likely culprit. Is it possible that a faulty control unit could cause the compressor to fail, or was it definitely the compressor in your case?

In my case, the workshop confirmed it was indeed the AC compressor itself that had failed. They replaced it, and the system has been working perfectly since then. However, a faulty control unit could potentially cause issues with the compressor. I suggest you take it to a trusted workshop to get a proper diagnosis before proceeding with any repairs. They will be able to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem.

I took it to a local workshop, and they confirmed your suspicion. It was indeed the AC compressor that had failed, likely due to a defective control unit. The total repair cost came out to 980€, including the compressor replacement and control unit repair. Expensive, but at least it's fixed!

I have a Ccrosser as well, and those symptoms sound very familiar. When mine went, it turned out to be a defective AC compressor. Was the error code related to the compressor or the control unit?
