Ccrosser boost pressure actuator fault

My 2010 Citroen Ccrosser with a gasoline engine is acting up. The check engine light is on, it feels underpowered, and there's a high-pitched whistle when I accelerate. It sometimes stalls and seems to be burning more fuel. I suspect a boost pressure actuator fault, maybe the electrical bypass valve. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Sounds rough! I had a similar issue with my old Saab, though not as dramatic. Same symptoms: check engine light and feeling underpowered. Have you checked the turbo wastegate or anything in the turbo system?

Turbo wastegate, huh? Interesting. I've been focusing on the actuator itself, thinking it was a straightforward electrical problem. What was wrong with your Saab?

It turned out to be something with the turbo actuator on my Saab. My mechanic said it was defective. It's probably best to take it to a workshop; these turbo issues can be tricky.

I appreciate the input. It was exactly what I thought – the boost pressure actuator was faulty. I replaced the electrical bypass valve for 250€ and it's running like new again.
